Terms and Conditions

Once an online, written or verbal booking has been accepted by practitioner, client will have entered into an agreement to have a Reiki session based on the following terms and conditions:

Payment Policy. Payment is required in full at the time of booking via PayPal, Venmo, or credit card to assure that appointment date/time is reserved. Non-payment will result in cancellation of session.
Cancellation/Refund Policy. If cancelling with more than 48 hours notice, refund will be given in full. If less than 48 hours' notice is given, half of the fee will be refunded; no part of the fee will be refunded if less than 24 hours' notice is given.

Rescheduling Policy. If you must change your appointment, a minimum of 24 hours' notice is required in order to make every effort to accommodate other clients. If less than 24 hours notice is given, one change of appointment will be allowed without an additional charge.

Missed Appointment Policy. Client forfeits entire fee if they do not show up for appointment

Late or Early Arrival. If arriving early, please wait for practitioner in the waiting room. If late for appointment, practitioner will attempt to offer the best possible service within the time left; however appointment will end at the agreed time with no adjustment to fee.

Prices. Prices listed for sessions are subject to change without prior notification; however, price at time of booking is honored.

Refusing to Treat. Practitioner has the right to refuse or discontinue a session at any point. Circumstances where this may apply include, but are not limited to:
  • Client is under the influence of alcohol or recreational drugs
  • Client behaves in an inappropriate or offensive manner
  • Client is or becomes unwell (e.g. fever, digestive upset, allergic reaction, seizure, fainting)
  • COVID restrictions

Children. Clients under the age of 18 are welcome if accompanied by a parent or legal guardian, who will be asked to sign for consent. They will also be asked to remain present for the duration of session.

Medical Issues. Reiki practitioners do not diagnose conditions, nor do they prescribe or perform medical treatment, prescribe substances, nor interfere with the treatment of a licensed medical professional. It is recommend that clients see a licensed physician or licensed health care professional for any physical or psychological ailments they may have. Reiki is a complement to medical or psychological care, but is not a substitute for proper medical diagnosis and treatment.

Confidentiality. During a client's session consultation, practitioner will collect personal information which is important for client-practitioner relationship and will be used to tailor treatments. This information is strictly confidential unless permission is given through written consent by client. Practitioner may at times address specific personal issues, challenges, or general conditions in client's life or profession. All information provided will be kept strictly confidential with the exception of any information which, if withheld, may result in danger to the clients or others. All communication taking place during session is confidential, subject to certain provisions: practitioner feels client is a danger to self or others, has inflicted harm or is endangering another who cannot protect themselves, as in the case of a child, a person with a disability, or an elderly person.

Guarantees. There are several complex factors influencing the success of Reiki treatments. While benefits are typically observed in the majority of cases, there can be no guarantees of success or cure in relation to a condition or its treatment. If a client's nervous system has been dysregulated for a prolonged period of time, relaxation could be perceived as uncomfortable at first. In addition, there are times when an improvement in balance and energy flow can create discomfort for a period of time after treatment, and client may wonder why they feel worse instead of better. This is temporary, and can be a positive indication of healing. Typically, both scenarios improve as your therapy and healing journey progresses. Your feelings are natural and related to your perception of your experience. Long-term imbalances in the body sometimes require multiple sessions in order to facilitate noticeable improvements.
