There are several local social groups for widowed people, but few that are secular and therapeutic in nature. While our group is therapeutic in nature, it is not a therapy group. This distinction is made so that members do not substitute this group for therapy services by a mental health professional.

This support group is for anyone 18 and over grieving the death of the person you expected to spend the rest of your life with- whether your loss is recent or years ago. It is a safe place to be honest about your grief and its impact on your life. We cover topics that extend to all areas of life affected by widowhood, work through challenging themes, laugh, cry, share, incorporate journaling into the process, and learn healing self-care strategies. While there is no cure for grief, it is our hope that at the end of twelve weeks, you will leave with tools that can help you thrive, and with the support of a caring community who understands.
