There are several local social groups for widowed people, but few groups offered that are therapeutic in nature, and virtually none that are secular and specific to the loss of a partner or spouse. This support group is for anyone 18 and over grieving the death of a partner or spouse- whether the loss is recent or years ago. It is a safe place to be honest about your grief and its impact on your life. We cover topics that extend to all areas of life affected by widowhood, work through challenging themes, laugh, cry, share, incorporate journaling into the process, and learn healing self-care strategies. While there is no cure for grief, it is our hope that at the end of ten weeks, you will acquire tools that can help you thrive and gain a supportive community who understands.
